About the organisation

ACECOVA, the Celiac Association of the Valencian Community, was founded in 1987 to respond to the needs of celiac people across Valencia, Alicante and Castellón. It is part of the Federation of Celiac Associations of Spain (FACE) and brings together about 2,560 member families.

Its work combines direct care — dietary guidance and food classification — with educational programmes in schools, courses and workshops, and the “Vivir sin gluten” programme of comprehensive care for celiac children. It also promotes inclusion initiatives at festivals and events and agreements with local administrations.

To make eating out worry-free, ACECOVA accredits venues through its “Safe Establishments” programme and gives members digital resources such as the FACEMOVIL app, with data on thousands of gluten-free products and hundreds of restaurants and hotels.
