About the organisation

“Málaga sin Gluten” is a network run jointly by the City of Málaga — through its Health and Consumer Service, within the Business Promotion and Employment Area — and the Málaga Celiac Association (ACEMA). Its aim is to build a network of hospitality, restaurant and food establishments offering gastronomy adapted to people with gluten intolerance, designed for both residents and visitors.

Unlike an association, it is an institutional resource: establishments apply to join through the municipal electronic office and are placed under the joint supervision of ACEMA and the Municipal Health and Consumer Service. They must offer a safe gastronomic proposal and keep allergen information accessible, readable and complete.

The network provides the public with an interactive map of certified establishments, educational resources on celiac disease, training courses for hospitality professionals and an annual assembly coinciding with the National Celiac Day (16 May).
