About the organisation

The Asociación de Celíacos y Sensibles al Gluten (ACSG) is the reference organisation for the celiac community of the Madrid region. It was founded in 1990 as the Asociación de Celíacos de Madrid (ACM), building on the pioneering work of Spain’s first celiac groups from the early 1980s, and in 2014 adopted its current name to also include people with non-celiac gluten sensitivity.

Based in Madrid, it provides direct care to patients and families: nutrition and dietetics consultations, body-composition studies, psychological support, post-diagnosis guidance and video consultations for members. Its motto, “Living gluten-free, growing together”, captures work that combines individual care with scientific outreach, congresses and research newsletters.

One of its most visible contributions is a thorough certification system for establishments and products. Its database gathers thousands of reviewed restaurants, hotels, shops and bakeries, plus an extensive list of gluten-free products, accessible through the free sinGLU10 app. Given its scale, this directory acts in practice as a nationwide reference.
